Keep it Jewish
Why Keep it Jewish?
The building holds historical significance for the Jewish community.
Since 1961, it has represented a connection to Jewish heritage, identity, and traditions. Many have contributed, volunteered and sacrificed for it. Keeping it within the community ensures continuity, preserves Jewish identity, and strengthens the sense of belonging for future generations.
Keeping it Jewish
When the building was put up for sale, concerns arose about bids from certain entities that might not preserve its place within the Jewish community.
Many believed that, having been part of the Jewish community since 1961, it should continue to remain so.
The concern increased even more when bids from these entities surpassed the asking price significantly.
With our commitement to purchase the buiding we were able to not only keep the property a part of the Jewish communal infrastructure, but also create a center for Jewish education, which will have an impact on Jewish awareness and strenthen Jewish identity for generations to come.
